Ramonda Hammer Drops Debut Angst-Ridden Album

Apr 29 2016

Grunge-pop band, Ramonda Hammer, released their debut album, Whatever That Means. As a raw expression of angst, frustration, and love, the album is filled with heavy hooks and blaring vocals. Produced by front woman, Devin Davis, and engineered by Morgan Stratton, a Grammy Nominee at Sunset Sound, the album is a diverse compilation of anthemic, sincere, and brutally honest songs. The first track, “Chaotic,” sets the tone for the rest of the album with furious guitar licks and the opening line of “it’s hard to explain myself.” As the album name suggests, Whatever That Means, is filled with songs about the difficulty of communicating and inevitability of misunderstanding in relationships. Tracks like “Amends Were Made” showcase the epic shredding power of lead guitarist, Justin Geter, while “Strangers Love You” display the emotional sensibility of the group. The band’s breakout single “Goddamn Idiot,” whose music video garnered attention from The Deli Los Angeles, Buzzbands, and Pure Volume, is featured on the album as well. You can listen to Whatever That Means on Ramonda Hammer’s souncloud page or download it on iTunes now.
